Notices - Sunday 2nd September

Tonight: Bayhead Youth Group will meet in the Bridge Centre, 8.30-9.45pm, and the speaker is Alick John Maclean. All are welcome to attend.
All young people are invited to the hall after the evening service for food and refreshment before heading down to the Bridge Centre together for 8.30pm.

Midweek Meetings: All at 7.30pm
Monday – Monthly Bilingual (Seminary)
Wednesday – English, Rev James Maciver (MA Macleod Memorial Hall)
Continuing the study in the Letter of James, Session 8 will be “Do My Plans Fit with God’s Plans?” All welcome.

NOTICES
Death - We were sorry to hear of the passing of James (Jimmy) Miller, Goathill Road. We extend our sincere and prayerful sympathy to his widow Maya, son Jamie and his wife Christina, along with their family Nicola, Lewis and Stuart; also to his daughter Angela with her husband Bobby, as well as to Jimmy’s remaining brother Calum and sister Catherine, and also his nephews.

Thanks- South Uist and Benbecula Free Church would like to offer their sincere thanks for the recent Soup and Pudding lunch held in the MA Hall. Thank you to all who supported the lunch, in any way whatsoever. The sum of over £1400 was raised- this sum will go a long way to help with updating the heating system in the church at Lochboisdale.

Tuesday 4th September- Youth Club meets from 7:30-9:30pm for S2-S6 in the Hall.

ADVANCE NOTICES

Sunday 9th September- Congregational Fellowship
Rona Matheson (Muir of Ord) will be sharing on the work of Blythswood in what will be the 25th anniversary of the Blythswood Shoe Box appeal at the Congregational Fellowship after the evening service. This will be a joint fellowship with the congregation of the High Free Church. All very welcome.

Tuesday 11th September- The ordination and Induction of Rev Iain Macritchie to Pairc Free Church, Gravir will be held on Tuesday 11th September at 7pm. Rev James Maciver will preach and preside; Rev Calum I Macleod (Back) will address the newly inducted minister and Rev Calum MacDonald (Callanish) will address the congregation. A reception will be held afterwards at the Cabarfeidh hotel. All are very welcome to attend.
