Notices - Sunday 12th November

Creche: 11.00am in the upper hall for children up to age 3.

Tweenies: 11.00am in the hall for children aged 3-5.

 Sunday School and Bible Class arrive in church at 11.00 with family, then leave through the side door nearest the hall after children’s address.

Everyone is welcome to the M. A. Hall after the morning service for a time of fellowship. Tea and Coffee will be served by Mary and Chris.

Monday 13th November 1.00pm to 3.00pm - Toddler Group in M.A. Hall.

Monday 13th November at 7.00pm – Deacons’ Court meet in Kenneth Street Session room.

Tuesday 14th November from 7.30pm to 8.30pm – Christianity Explored in the upper M.A. Hall.

We all have questions about Christianity.  You are invited to join us where, in following the Christianity Explored resources, some of these questions could be answered.

This is a relaxed and informal setting suitable for everyone.  No prior knowledge of the Christian faith is required. If you know someone who could benefit from these discussions, please bring them along. 

All will be most welcome. Please come along if you haven’t been before, or missed the first week.

Parking is available at the hall or church car park. Don’t be put off if you see a lot of cars. It is open for use by others.

Sy WfM will be hosting a meeting in the M.A. Hall at 7.30pm. Our guest speaker will be Andrew Maciver from North Tolsta who will be telling us about his work in Myanmar.

 Saturday 18th November

The High Free Church will be hosting a fundraising lunch in the M.A. Hall from 12.00pm to 2.00pm. All are welcome.

Book Launch - An Evening with Tom Lennie.

Tom Lennie, author of ‘Island Aflame - The Famed Lewis Awakening that Never Occurred and the Glorious Revival that Did (Lewis and Harris 1949 - 1952)’ will be at the Barvas and Brue Community Centre on Monday 20th November at 7.30 pm to speak about his new book which is being launched this month. The event is being hosted by  Stornoway Christian Bookshop in conjunction with Christian Focus Publications.

There will be a bookstall and an opportunity to buy signed copies of ‘Island Aflame’ at a discounted price.  His other books will also be available for sale – ‘Glory in the Glen’, ‘Land of Many Revivals’ and ‘Scotland Ablaze’.

There will be tea/coffee and baking provided.
