  • Which topic is common to all three incidents?
  • How does 1 Peter 1:18-21 show us that Peter benefitted from being in these three situations?

3. How does the status of Jesus as God relate to the “glory” mentioned here (verse 32) and to his appearance being changed?

4. The word “departure” in verse 31 is literally “exodus.”

  • Discuss what all was involved in Christ’s “exodus”?

  • What does the “cloud” in verse 34 remind us of and how does this relate to Christ’s status as stated in the words spoken from the cloud?
  • Who spoke them and why was this said?
  • How do we “listen to him?”
