Salvation Army Collection
At this time of year the local branch of the Salvation Army helps a considerable number of individuals and families in our community by giving out hot water bottles, toiletries, food parcels and toys. There will be an opportunity for our congregation to contribute to this work over the next two weeks by donating hot water bottles and toiletries -these can be everyday toiletries or gift packs, but all items must be new and unused. Please place any donated items in the box inside the MA Hall door. Please contact Elaine Macmillan on [email protected] or call 07876 225120 if you have any queries. Please note that today is the last opportunity to donate any items.

Children and youth groups
Campaigners and Parents & Toddlers have finished for the year but resume in January.
The Christian Institute - The sum raised for the Christian Institute on the National Day of Prayer will not be forwarded for a week or two to give others who still want to contribute an opportunity to do so.  Contributions should be placed in an envelope clearly marked 'Christian Institute' and left in the collection plates at the church or Seminary.

High Free Church Calendars for 2019 are available now from the HFC Fundraising committee or the Religious Book Shop at a cost of £8. A lovely Christmas gift, with beautiful Island scenes and text from the bible on each month page, with space to mark event reminders on each day.

ADVANCE NOTICES

Sunday 23rd December
There will be a Christmas Congregational Fellowship in the hall after the evening service. Similar to last year’s fellowship, we will have some carols to sing, mince pies to eat, a quiz to take part in and a few other goodies as well. We want this to be a family occasion. The quiz will be set at level “easy” (the minister has promised!) so that the children can take part and all the children who come will get something! Do please come.

Wednesday 2nd January
New Year’s Day service in the church at 12 noon
