Gaelic Audio New Testament now live

The Scottish Bible Society were in Stornoway in August 2022 recording native Gaelic speakers in order to produce an audio version of the Gaelic New Testament. The audio is now live on the Gaelic Bible website.

Click here to go to the webpage:

You will see that there is the text of the new 2017 Translation. At the bottom of the screen is an arrow/play button. If you press this, the audio will start playing.

There are two versions of the audio: with or without music. You will see these at the bottom left of the screen. To change between them, click on the down arrow and select the version you wish. With music is the default option.

The New Testament book and chapter can be selected at the top of the page.

The Gaelic Bible App should be updated shortly with the recordings.

The audio for the four gospels has also been put onto four high quality films. Scottish Bible Society are currently getting those ready for publishing.

Adrian Armstrong, Head of Bible Engagement at SBS said, "Many thanks again for your interest in and involvement in this incredible project. We pray that these will be valuable resources for the Gaelic speaking community."

Make sure and have a listen and see how many familiar voices you can spot!
